Education, Teaching Bursaries (Funza Lushaka 2011)

Do you have a desire to make a difference in the lives of others, but don't have the funds or bursary required for completing a Teachers Diploma or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree at a South African university?

The government of South Africa, particularly the national Departments of Education (Higher education and Training and Basic education), has noticed the need to develop good teachers in all subjects. The application process for the Fundza Lushaka teaching bursary is open. The application process runs from 1^st October 2010 to 28^th January 2011.

The MINIMUM qualifying criteria is simple:

*You should be interested in teaching

*You should obtain an average mark of 60 % (Level 4) if you are a new entrant into university study OR an average mark of 55 % over all modules if you are already in university.
